Kristopher F. Powell, CLU, LIC – President/CEO
Kris has 30 years of employee benefit and administration experience, and is a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and a Licensed Insurance Counselor (LIC).
Kris founded HRPro, Inc. in 1990 when he saw the growing need for employers to streamline their internal processes.
Kris has served on numerous local boards including Big Brothers/Big Sisters, The Medhealth Foundation, Red Run Golf Club, and most recently as Vice‐Chair for Notre Dame Prep/Marist Academy in Pontiac. He currently serves on the Board of United Benefit Advisors, a group he helped to Charter in 2002 to find new and better answers for clients in the benefit space.
Kris and his family reside in Troy, Michigan.
Teresa Edwards – Executive Vice President
Teresa brings over 20 years experience to the Pro Team and has been with the organization since 1989. She began as Director of Operations for BenePro, and later joined HRPro in 2005 as Executive Vice President of Operations.
Teresa graduated from the prestigious Walsh College of Business and Accountancy with a Bachelors of Business Administration, Finance. Teresa is responsible for the general oversight of most operational activities of the company. She is pivotal in building strong client relationships and a strategic partner in the development of revenue generating projects and campaigns.
Teresa and her family reside in Clarkston, Michigan.
Joan Morehead, Vice President of HR Services
Joan joins HRPro as our Vice President of HR Services. With over 20 years’ experience in Human Resource and Business operations and as Immediate Past President of Detroit SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management), Joan brings her wealth of experience and vast network of HR professionals to her new position here at HRPro. Joan will work to grow our HR Consulting and support services.
Joan has worked in the public and non-profit segments with the Michigan Public Health Institute, Matrix Human Services, Blue Care Network and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan. Joan is respected for her practice knowledge and outcomes focus.
She understands how to build operational and strategic plans, achieve improved business outcomes and build teams that execute with excellence. She leads with integrity and a focus on creating two way conversations with internal and external customers to drive support of client needs and gain input on needed improvements.
Joan is active in the community, serves on the boards for the Detroit Society of Human Resource Management, MI Bright Future, 101 Best Companies to work for!, and is a member of the Personnel Team at Shepherd of the Lakes.
Kelly Olligschlager, Director of HR Services
Kelly is the Director of HR Services at HRPro where her role is developing solutions for small to mid‐size businesses to better manage and streamline the entire HR life cycle from recruitment and training to payroll and benefits administration.
She is a graduate from Cleary University with a Bachelor of Business Administration. Kelly’s passion for helping companies came from growing up in a family of entrepreneurs and seeing the challenges that organizations deal with daily.
Prior to working at HRPro, Kelly was a business solutions consultant at Paychex and a Private Client Banker at JP Morgan Chase Bank.
When she’s not at work she spends her time traveling, sailing, scuba diving, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, hiking, skiing, golfing, reading a book and spending time with family and friends whenever possible.
